Reasons Morning Sex is the Best Sex

Let' s talk about sex. Specifically having sex at the start your day. Does it sound like a bad idea? I promise you it's not.

Adults who make love first thing in the morning feel more upbeat for the rest of the day and also benefit from a stronger immune system. Research also suggests that men and women who begin their day by having sex  are healthier and happier (duh!) than those who simply opt for a cup of coffee and a light breakfast before heading out the door.

If that's not enough of reason for you to consider it, think about this.

Despite the demands of life, work and having a family, everyone agrees that couples should try to find the time to make love, right?

Believe me, I know how exhausted we mothers are. Sometimes it's hard to even consider the idea of having sex. It's definitely difficult to think about making love to your partner after a long day of work and if your kids are anything like mine--there's no way you'll have energy for sex at the end of the day. Once your angels are finally asleep, you probably realize you want to do the exact same thing! That's why morning sex is such a great option.

I also know that mornings aren't any easier than nights, because we have to prepare everyone (including ourselves) for the day. But I read once that being in a rush to have sex can actually makes for a better experience. The heart-pounding adrenaline of spontaneous sex intensifies the entire experience which is why mornings are the perfect time to indulge in a "quickie" with your significant other.

Dr. Debby Herbenick, a research scientist and sexual health educator at The Kinsey Institute, as well as a widely read sex columnist and the author of Because it Feels Good, has this to say about getting some nookie in the morning:

Having sex in the morning releases the feel-good chemical oxytocin, which makes couples feel loving and bonded all day long. It makes you stronger and more beautiful too: Morning sex can strengthen your immune system for the day and it releases chemicals that boost levels of estrogen, which improves the tone and texture of your skin and hair.

So, morning sex can make us less likely to catch a cold or flu and it can also improve the quality of our hair, skin, and nails?! I'm 100% sold!

If your partner still doesn't love the idea of morning sex, you can always tell him that a study at Queens University in Belfast found that having morning sex three times a week could halve the risk of a heart attack. Then here's this other good reason: research from Nottingham University also found that men in their 50's who kept a regular sex life, are at a lower risk of developing prostate cancer.

So there you go, I think I gave you plenty reasons to at least try to institute a little morning delight into your everyday routine. In the mornings I have a renewed body and spirit, so I can embrace the idea of the "maƱanero" (that's the way we call it in my country), in order to start off my day right!

What do you think about morning sex?
